In a surprising twist, Gordon Ramsay's alleged Welsh mistress, Sarah Symonds, has formed an unexpected bond with Adam Peaty's mother, Caroline, amidst a family feud. The two women, both vocal critics of the celebrity chef, have reportedly developed a close relationship, sharing their experiences and offering support to one another.
Symonds, an infidelity and relationship expert from Newport, claims to have had a seven-year affair with Ramsay, which he denies. The alleged affair began when Ramsay's daughter, Holly, was just one year old, and has since sparked a public feud with Holly's husband, Adam Peaty, and his family.
Symonds reached out to Caroline after she was allegedly uninvited from Holly's wedding, and the two women have since become close friends. Symonds revealed that she contacted Caroline via Facebook, leading to a regular exchange of voice notes and a sense of 'sisterhood solidarity'.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Symonds expressed her empathy for Caroline's situation, stating, 'I really know what it means to go through this trauma. By talking to Caroline, I'm opening up my scars again, but I'm doing it to help others.'
She added, 'Caroline and I are close. One could say we are kindred spirits. Because if anyone knows what she is going through, it is me. I wanted her to know I thought the way Gordon and his family were treating her was terrible. I just felt so sad for her and wanted to try to make her feel a bit better.'
The friendship has also extended to Adam's aunt, Louise, who has been vocal on social media about Adam's behavior and treatment of her sister. Symonds describes the friendships as a 'support group', offering a sense of solidarity and understanding.
During the wedding speeches, Gordon Ramsay appeared to take aim at Caroline and her husband, Mark. He told guests that Adam was a 'lucky man' as he commented on Holly's beauty in her wedding dress. He then made a dig at his wife, Tana, by saying, 'Look at Tana and that's what you have to look forward to.'
Symonds expressed her thoughts on the situation, stating, 'Yes, we have spoken about the wedding. Caroline and I have been in touch since and it is all really sad. Both she and Louise have said they are not really okay. He [Gordon] said that about Tana – but he himself didn't think he was such a lucky man, because he looked at me. It's very hypocritical to tell Adam to look at Tana when looking at her wasn't, in my opinion, enough to keep him faithful to her.'
The Mirror has approached a representative for Gordon Ramsay for comment, leaving the public to speculate on the ongoing feud and the potential impact of these newfound friendships.
