Sydney Harbour Concours 2026 to stage an Australia-vs-England clash, billed as the automotive equivalent of the Ashes, as it marks eight years of the event on February 27–March 1, 2026.
The Ashes-themed section will spotlight the contrasts in Aussie and British car culture, with a lineup that includes a 1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn, a 1957 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mark II saloon, a 1968 Austin 1800 Utility, a 1971 Ford XY Falcon GT-HO Phase III, a 1972 Aston Martin DBS V8, and a 1973 Ford XA Falcon GT RPO83 hard-top.
Now in its eighth year, the Sydney Harbour Concours continues to grow into a premier event in the Asia-Pacific region. The 2026 program features a roster of storied marques such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Lamborghini, McLaren, Polestar, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, with additional brands anticipated to be announced. Conceived by James Nicholls, the concours presents more than 50 vehicles across eight classes, and many entries are expected to make their Southern Hemisphere debut.
As with prior editions, competitors will embark on a curated driving tour before the main exhibition weekend. For the first time, the event will officially open on the Royal Botanic Gardens lawns, with views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, on Thursday evening. This free-to-attend night will display 30 classic cars—some in the concours lineup—before they’re driven in convoy across the Harbour Bridge ('the Coathanger') to Woolwich, then shipped to Cockatoo Island for Friday morning’s concours d’elegance.
The Interbellum class features a 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, a 1930 Rolls-Royce 20/25 by Park Ward, a 1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 by Freestone & Webb, a 1934 Bugatti Type 57 Graber roadster, a 1936 Delage D6-70 Figoni et Falaschi Milord Cabriolet, and a 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III by Windovers. The Three-Pointed Star Centenary lineup includes several Mercedes-Benz classics: a 1954 300 SL coupé, a 1955 300 SL coupé, a 1956 190 SL, a 1957 300 SL roadster, a 1959 190 SL, a 1963 300 SE cabriolet, and a 1969 280 SL.
Disegno Italiano showcases a distinctly Italian lineup: a 1956 Ferrari 410 Superamerica coupé ‘Superfast’ Prototype by Pinin Farina, a 1960 Aston Martin DB4 GT, a 1962 Lancia Flaminia Zagato Sport, a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE, a 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB, a 1972 Maserati Bora, and a 1989 Alfa Romeo ES30 SZ. Carrozzeria Touring features a 1960 Lancia Flaminia GT, a 1962 Alfa Romeo 2600 Touring Spider, a 1963 Lancia Flaminia GTL, a 1964 Lancia Flaminia GTL, a 1966 Aston Martin DB6, a 1970 Aston Martin DB6, and a 1974 Jensen Interceptor MkIII convertible.
Plastic Fantastic spotlights include a 1957 Buchanan, a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette C1, a 1964 Studebaker Excalibur Series 1, a 1969 Citroën Mehari, a 1969 McLaren M12 Can-Am M6GT, a 1969 Reliant Scimitar GTE SE5, and a 1974 Bond Bug. Catch My Drift brings together a 1971 Toyota Celica GT TA22, a 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno, a 1999 Subaru Impreza WRX 22B, a 2002 Honda NSX-R, and a 2011 Lexus LFA. The Generation Alpha section includes a 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider, a 2020 McLaren Senna XP, a 2023 Ford GT, and a 2024 Porsche 911 Dakar.
Beyond the cars, each day carries a distinct theme: Saturday spotlights the newest hypercars and supercars, while Sunday highlights the latest in electric-vehicle technology. Across the weekend, attendees can enjoy a curated wine-and-cheese experience. The event will also host the Women and Motors? Just Joy exhibition from Italy’s Fratelli Cozzi Museum.
