G&L 25th Anniversary Model

In celebration of G&L's 25th Anniversary, the G&L Custom Creation team designed this special guitar to feature Leo Fender's first pickup design for G&L, the Magnetic Field Design humbucker. These pickups first appeared in 1980 on the very first G&L guitar model, the F-100, then appeared again in different specification in the rare short-scale G-200. During G&L's early years, many of those F-100 guitars featured mahogany bodies, the tonewood the factory craftsmen prefer with these pickups.

After two decades the Custom Creations team is proud to bring back these pickups, specially wound to complement the mahogany used in both the body and neck. The rich finish is custom blended to match the aged appearance of a 1981 F-100 owned by G&L, while front and rear contours and control layout used for the ASAT SUPER rounds out the styling. The result is the Limited Edition G&L 25th Anniversary, of which there will be only two hundred fifty made. We have #98 at our store.
